Charles Goode is a Geographer/ Planner and an ESRC Doctoral Researcher in Urban and Regional Planning (at the University of Birmingham). His research is on the Green Belt and England’s housing crisis, focusing on the views of planners. It has three main aspects: the location of new residential development, the governance of Green Belt and community attitudes and opposition to development. Charles’ particular passion is disseminating research beyond the ‘academy’ and involving planners in his research so he has attended numerous RTPI events and written Conference Reports and research summaries. Charles’ spare time is taken up with his Christian faith/ company he attends but he enjoys history, the countryside and seaside!
