Tracey Coleman has had 25 years’ experience of working in development, planning, regeneration and delivery of major projects and infrastructure. She is a Chartered Town Planner with qualifications in construction, surveying, planning and environmental design.
Tracey is currently the Director of Planning and Regeneration at Guildford Borough Council, and is responsible for the delivery of the Council’s major development schemes with a portfolio value in excess of £500m, also bringing forward the Council’s new Local Plan allocation.
Previously she was the Director of Planning at Ebbsfleet Development Corporation setting up a new planning service and taking responsibility for the Ebbsfleet area from Dartford, Gravesham and Kent County Council delivering high volume development Infrastructure and facilities such as schools, shops and pubs at considerable pace.
Tracey has a long history of delivering and designing major development, infrastructure and highways, regeneration and economic development schemes in locations such as Wokingham, Milton Keynes and Northampton.
She has worked with the Defence Infrastructure Organisation on the redevelopment and delivery of Aldershot and Arborfield Garrisons and is currently working with DIO in the upgrading of Pirbright Garrison.
Tracey’s career highlight has been putting together and delivering a scheme to preserve and regenerate Bletchley Park, which included the very difficult task, at the time, of getting the dilapidated buildings Listed.
She has a background in urban design and considers place making to be key to successful places. She is a firm believer in delivering affordable homes with jobs and creating places where people feel proud to live and work.
She has a keen interest in photography, the historic environment and architecture.
