Biography

Andy Moffat was until recently Head of Development at Huntingdonshire District Council where he led the Council’s Planning, Housing Strategy and Economic Development Service. Prior to that he worked for South Cambridgeshire District Council and Forest Heath District Council (now part of West Suffolk Council).

Recent times in Huntingdonshire have seen the adoption of the new Local Plan in May 2019, the start of delivery of the Alconbury Weald development (a mixed use development which includes 5000 homes and 150 hectares of employment land), the approval of the St Neots East development (a mixed use development which includes 3800 homes), the establishment of the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority, a new A14 opening in 2020 and the Cam-Ox arc. Andy now works for Savills based in their Cambridge office.
